The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a different type of crisis, since surveillance and control of vectors, as well as VBDs, eroded as public health organizations were forced to redirect most of their attention, workforce, and resources to quell the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this pattern, the Vector-Borne Diseases Laboratory (VBDL), Federal University of Paran\u00e1 (UFPR), Brazil, The Global One Health initiative (GOHi) \u2013 The Ohio State University, USA, and worldwide research partners invites undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, health professionals, pharmaceutical companies, and decision makers to attend the Epidemiology of Vector-Borne Diseases course during September 27 to October 1, 2021. The GOHi highlights that the future of VBD management must involve a fully integrated, adaptive approach to human, animal, and environmental health.
