ABOUT UFPR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1912, the Federal University of Paran\u00e1 is a centenary higher education institution in line with the highest contemporary demands for quality in the production of knowledge, aligning research, teaching and extension. It currently has 92 stricto sensu postgraduate courses, 110 specialization courses, 120 undergraduate courses and 333 extension courses. UFPR is committed to the current requirement to institutionalize the internationalization of its teaching, research and outreach activities in order to maintain and improve its outstanding position among Brazil\u2019s leading higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant number of postgraduate programs are already developing mobility projects, co-tutoring, double-titling and research, innovation, culture and outreach activities with a range of international partners. Approximately a third of UFPR\u2019s teaching staff have academic training abroad (Master\u2019s, Doctorate, sandwich Doctorate or Post-Doctorate), as well as short courses. Many of them have proven experience in international collaboration projects. Since 2018, more than 60% of UFPR\u2019s teaching staff have been directly involved in postgraduate programs, and more than 350 of them are CNPq Research Productivity Fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UFPR is a symbol of Curitiba, the capital city of the state of Paran\u00e1. It is one of the Top Ten Brazilian universities by any standard and stands among the 25 most prestigious in Latin America.
